The Advantages of Custom Design & Building
I've spent my entire life working with wood, and for the past 35 years I have concentrated my work on custom design, woodworking and building and remodeling homes. While my workshop is in Woodruff, Wisconin, amidst the beauty of the Wisconsin northwoods, my client base is expanding in Wisconsin and Minnesota. I believe it is important to maintain collaborative interaction with my clients through the design and construction phases. Thanks to digital cameras, email and the telephone we can both benefit from your "virtual" presence. After all -- it's your project!
What are the advantages of custom designed and constructed cabinetry and casework?

Maximum utilization of available space.
- Visual synchronization with the environment.
- The opportunity to incorporate adequate but not excessive space for unique and specific objects.
- The use of materials that hold the most appeal to the owner.
If you are interested in receiving some prelimary, prompt feedback as to what it would take in terms of design, construction, installation, cost, etc. to materialize your ideas, it would be helpful for you to send to me:
- A digital photograph showing the space and surrounding area to be occupied by the proposed item and dimensions describing the width, depth, and height of the space.
- A description of the item(s) you would like to have built. A reasonably accurate (proportional) sketch would be very helpful. Best of all would be a measured rendering by a design professional.
- Any special features desired such as wood species, architectural theme, concealed drawers, hardwares, finishes, etc. should be noted.
- A photograph of an item similar to that desired would be nice.
